Ron DeSantis
Governor (Term-Limited)
FL Governor
Ron DeSantis is the incumbent Governor of Florida, serving his second and final term after being re-elected in 2022 with 59% of the vote. Under Florida's two-consecutive-term limit, he is constitutionally ineligible to run for governor again in 2026. A Harvard-educated lawyer and Navy veteran, DeSantis ran briefly for President in 2023 before withdrawing. He remains influential in Florida Republican politics and is expected to remain a national figure after leaving office in January 2027.
