Kim Reynolds
Governor
IA Governor
Kim Reynolds has served as Iowa's governor since 2017, when she succeeded Terry Branstad, and won re-election in her own right in 2018 and 2022. A former state treasurer and small-town county treasurer before that, she has become one of the most prominent conservative governors in the country. She enacted Iowa's universal school choice law — one of the most expansive in the nation — as well as social conservative legislation on gender and transgender issues. Iowa has grown increasingly Republican under her tenure.
