James Clyburn

Jim Clyburn represents South Carolina's 6th congressional district in the U.S. House, where he has served since 1993. He held senior House Democratic leadership positions for most of the past two decades, including House Majority Whip and Assistant Democratic Leader, and previously served as South Carolina's first Black state human-affairs commissioner.
