Barrett Anthony McNabb, a Republican, filed as a candidate for the U.S. Senate in Texas in 2026 (FEC ID S6TX00347) but withdrew before the March 3 Republican primary; he had also run for Texas' 38th Congressional District and finished sixth with about 6.4 percent of the vote in the Republican primary. He holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Sam Houston State University. McNabb served 16 years as a U.S. Army infantry officer, with deployments to South Korea, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and later worked as a small business owner, including as CEO of Consolidated Wellness Management Group in Houston.
