Russell Fry is a Republican lawyer and U.S. Representative for South Carolina's 7th Congressional District, a position he has held since January 2023 after defeating incumbent Tom Rice in the 2022 Republican primary. Born in Surfside Beach and a resident of Murrells Inlet, Fry earned a B.A. from the University of South Carolina and a J.D. from the Charleston School of Law, then practiced law in the Grand Strand area before his 2015 election to the South Carolina House of Representatives, where he later served as Majority Chief Whip. He is a candidate in the 2026 Republican U.S. Senate special primary to fill the seat vacated by the death of Lindsey Graham.
