Duke Buckner is a Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate seat from South Carolina in the special primary scheduled for August 11, 2026. Born and raised in Walterboro, he is a 1994 graduate of South Carolina State University and earned a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center in 2006. He has worked as an attorney, public school teacher, real estate broker, and certified mediator, and previously served on the Walterboro City Council. He previously ran unsuccessfully for U.S. Senate in 2020 and for South Carolina's 6th Congressional District in 2022 and 2024.
