Brandon Pendarvis Brown is a Democratic candidate who announced a campaign for the U.S. Senate in South Carolina on July 9, 2025, challenging Lindsey Graham. A fifth-generation South Carolinian born and raised in Greenville, he is the son of two lifelong public school educators and previously served as Senior Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Paine College in Augusta, Georgia, where he led a fundraising effort for the HEAL Complex and expanded scholarship opportunities for South Carolina students. Earlier, at Jackson State University, he helped grow the university's endowment by more than $18 million. Brown placed second in the SC Democratic primary, which was won by Dr. Annie Andrews with 61.5% of the vote.
