Russell McAlmond (Republican) was a candidate for the U.S. Senate in Oregon in 2026. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served three years of active duty with a 15-month overseas deployment, he is a financial planner with MBA and MSFS degrees and the chief investment officer of a southern Oregon investment company. He also ran for Oregon's 2nd Congressional District in 2026, and he finished with 11.5% of the vote in the May 19, 2026 Republican Senate primary, which was won by state Sen. David Brock Smith.
