Larry E. Marker, a Republican who goes by "Lead," is the Republican nominee for the 2026 U.S. Senate election in New Mexico and is on the ballot against incumbent Democrat Ben Ray Luján. He advanced to the general election by running as a write-in candidate in the June 2, 2026 Republican primary, the first U.S. Senate campaign to reach the general ballot through the write-in primary process. He previously ran as a write-in Independent for New Mexico Commissioner of Public Lands in 2022 and sought the Republican nomination for New Mexico State Senate District 27 in 2024.
