Constance Johnson, also known as "Connie" or "Lov", is a Salisbury, North Carolina native who filed with the FEC on August 7, 2025, to run for U.S. Senate in North Carolina in 2026. She previously ran in the 2022 Democratic primary for U.S. Senate in North Carolina, finishing with 2.0% of the vote, and in Democratic primaries for North Carolina Superintendent of Public Instruction (2020), Charlotte mayor (2017), and the North Carolina State Senate (2014).
