Margaret Flanagan, widely known as Peggy Flanagan, is the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party candidate for the U.S. Senate seat in Minnesota in the 2026 election. She has served as Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota since January 7, 2019, and previously represented District 46A in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2015 to 2019 and served on the Minneapolis Public Schools Board from 2005 to 2009. Before holding elected office, she worked as an organizer for the urban Native American community, a trainer at Wellstone Action, and executive director of Children's Defense Fund–Minnesota. She announced her Senate candidacy on February 13, 2025, and her campaign committee had raised approximately $4.6 million in receipts as of March 31, 2026.
