Troy Dale Jackson, a logger from northern Aroostook County, served in the Maine House of Representatives from 2002 to 2008 and in the Maine Senate from 2008 to 2014 and again from 2016 to 2024, including as Senate President from 2018 to 2024. He is the 2026 Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate seat held by Republican Susan Collins, having been selected at a state party convention in Bangor on July 25, 2026.
