Paige Loud is a social worker from Old Town, Maine, who ran for the U.S. Senate in 2026 as a Democratic candidate in Maine's special nomination process to replace Graham Platner on the ballot against Sen. Susan Collins. She previously ran in the June 9, 2026 Democratic primary for Maine's 2nd Congressional District, finishing fourth with about 10 percent of the vote. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Maine (2024) and was completing a Master of Social Work there, expected May 2026. She withdrew from the Senate nomination process in July 2026, citing disagreement with how the state Democratic convention was selecting a replacement nominee.
