Janet Trafton Mills (born December 30, 1947, in Farmington, Maine) is an American politician and attorney who has served as the 75th Governor of Maine since 2019. She previously served as the 55th and 57th Attorney General of Maine and as a member of the Maine House of Representatives. Mills, a Democrat, launched a campaign for the U.S. Senate in Maine in 2025, seeking to challenge Republican incumbent Susan Collins, and was a candidate in the 2026 Democratic primary.
