Daira Rodriguez, also known as Daira Smith-Rodriguez, is a Biddeford, Maine resident who filed as a Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate in Maine's 2026 election under the committee "Daira for Maine." She worked as a civilian contracting officer for the U.S. Air Force for nearly 15 years before entering the race. She withdrew from the Democratic primary in October 2025 and endorsed Governor Janet Mills.
