Michael Faris is a Republican who ran for the U.S. Senate in Kentucky in 2026 (FEC ID S6KY00260). Born in Corydon, Indiana and raised in Sonora, Kentucky, he graduated from Central Hardin High School and earned an Air Force military citation from the Community College of the Air Force in 2005. An Air Force veteran, he is president of PRIMEHAWX, LLC, an aviation maintenance business in Elizabethtown, and filed his candidacy on December 15, 2025, having held no prior elected office. He lost the May 19, 2026 Republican primary with 2.6% of the vote (7,118 votes) to Andy Barr (59.6%) and Daniel Cameron (31.6%), and did not advance to the general election.
