Joshua Daniel Smith was a Republican candidate for the United States Senate in Iowa in 2026. He is a Navy veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and works as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) specialist. He previously held leadership roles in the Libertarian National Committee, including as vice chair, and ran as a Libertarian for Iowa State Senate District 16 in 2024. Smith did not appear on the June 2, 2026 Republican primary ballot.
