Thomas Laehn is the Libertarian candidate for U.S. Senate in Iowa in 2026. He serves as Greene County Attorney, an office he first won in 2018 as the first Libertarian elected to partisan office in Iowa's history, and was reelected in 2021. A native of Allison in northeast Iowa, he studied at Drake University, Louisiana State University, and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem before teaching constitutional law and political philosophy at McNeese State University in Louisiana.
