Michael Collins, a Republican, is the U.S. Representative for Georgia's 10th congressional district, a seat he has held since January 2023. Before entering Congress, he co-founded a trucking company with his wife, Leigh Ann, in the early 1990s, and later served on the board and as chairman of one of Georgia's largest credit unions and as president of his local chamber of commerce. Collins announced his campaign for the U.S. Senate seat in Georgia on July 27, 2025, and won the Republican primary runoff to advance to the November 2026 general election against Democratic incumbent Jon Ossoff. Federal Election Commission records show his campaign committee, Mike Collins for Senate, had raised about $5.5 million as of late May 2026.
