Janak Joshi is a Republican politician and retired physician from Colorado, born in Ahmedabad, India. He served three terms in the Colorado House of Representatives, representing District 14 (2011–2013) and District 16 (2013–2017). In 2024 he ran in the Republican primary for Colorado's 8th Congressional District, losing to Gabe Evans. In July 2025 he filed with the FEC as a candidate for the 2026 U.S. Senate race in Colorado; the Republican primary was held June 30, 2026, and Joshi was eliminated at the party assembly, with Mark Baisley becoming the nominee to face incumbent Democratic Sen. John Hickenlooper in the November 3, 2026 general election.
