David Leslie is a Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate in Alaska, running in the state's top-four primary on August 18, 2026. An Inupiaq Sipiniq (Two-Spirit) resident of Fairbanks, he is a longtime LGBTQ+ activist and a frequent testifier against anti-trans bills in the Alaska State Legislature. He has written commentary for the Alaska Beacon and has not previously held elected office.
