Joshua Weil, a Democrat from Florida (FEC candidate ID S2FL00466), is a public school teacher and administrator in the Orlando area who worked in Orange County Public Schools and the Osceola County School District as a math and science teacher, instructional coach, and dean of students. In 2025 he ran as the Democratic nominee in the special election for Florida's 6th Congressional District, losing to Republican Randy Fine with about 42.7% of the vote. In June 2025 he announced a 2026 campaign for the U.S. Senate seat then held by Ashley Moody.
