R.O. Joe Cassity Jr., a Democrat from Ponca City, was a challenger candidate for the U.S. Senate in Oklahoma in 2026. A graduate of Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma, he is a retired history professor and attorney who served 23 years in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was eliminated in the June 16, 2026 Democratic primary.
