Benjamin McAdams is the Democratic nominee for Utah's 1st Congressional District in the 2026 general election. An attorney, he served as mayor of Salt Lake County from 2013 to 2019 and represented Utah's 2nd Senate District in the Utah State Senate from 2009 to 2012. He previously represented Utah's 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House from 2019 to 2021 after defeating incumbent Mia Love in 2018. McAdams holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Utah and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
