Doug Ollivant is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and Culpeper County resident running for Congress as a Republican in Virginia's 7th District. His career includes two combat tours in Iraq, service as Director for Iraq at the National Security Council, advising coalition forces in Afghanistan, and teaching at West Point. He holds advanced degrees from Wheaton College, James Madison University, and Indiana University, and currently leads a global consulting firm that works to counter corruption. He and his wife, Sabrina, live along the Rappahannock River; he is the father of seven and grandfather of two.
