Tim Cywinski is a community organizer and policy advocate who has served as Communications Director for the Sierra Club Virginia Chapter. He earned a bachelor's degree from Roanoke College in 2014 and a graduate degree from Johns Hopkins University in 2023, and his career experience includes working as a nonprofit director. He is the Democratic candidate in the August 4, 2026 primary for Virginia's 1st Congressional District; the winner will face incumbent Republican Rob Wittman in the general election.
