Justin J. Pearson is a Democratic member of the Tennessee House of Representatives representing the 86th district, which covers parts of Memphis. Born in Memphis in 1995, he graduated from Bowdoin College and works as a community organizer. He was appointed to the state House in a January 2023 special election, was expelled by the chamber in April 2023, and was reinstated days later by the Shelby County Commission. He is a candidate in the 2026 Democratic primary for Tennessee's 9th U.S. House District.
