Nancy Lacore is a retired United States Navy vice admiral and the Democratic nominee for South Carolina's 1st Congressional District in 2026. She served on active and reserve duty from 1990 to 2025, beginning as a helicopter pilot, and culminated her career as the 16th Chief of Navy Reserve, leading more than 60,000 sailors. She holds a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross and an M.A. from San Diego State University. Lacore won the Democratic primary runoff on June 23, 2026, and faces Republican Jenny Honeycutt in the November 3, 2026 general election.
