William 'Bill' Reeside is the Libertarian nominee for South Carolina's 1st Congressional District in the November 3, 2026 general election. A retired nuclear engineer, he earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia in 1977 and later worked for more than 40 years in the power and research industries before joining Habitat for Humanity of York County. He and his wife reside in Edisto Beach and he is running as an open-seat challenger in a race that also includes Nancy Lacore (D) and Jenny Honeycutt (R).
