Paige Cognetti is the Mayor of Scranton, Pennsylvania, the first woman to hold the office, serving since 2020 after winning a 2019 special election. She holds a B.A. from the University of Oregon and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and previously served on the Scranton School Board (2017–2018) and as a special assistant to Pennsylvania State Auditor Eugene DePasquale. She is the Democratic nominee for Pennsylvania's 8th Congressional District in 2026.
