Jed Cochran was a Republican candidate for U.S. House in Oklahoma's 1st Congressional District in 2026, losing the June 16 Republican primary with about 4.7 percent of the vote. A fifth-generation Oklahoman, he is a graduate of Oral Roberts University and began his career as an intern for U.S. Senator Tom Coburn. According to the Tulsa World, he later served as a Tulsa field representative and office manager for U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe and as Chief of Intergovernmental Relations for Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum.
