Wayne Charles Kinsel is a retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel who filed as a Republican candidate for Ohio's 9th Congressional District in 2026. He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy (bachelor's in civil engineering) and the Air Force Institute of Technology (master's in engineering management), and is certified as a Project Management Professional. He served in the Air Force as a civil engineer officer and commander, with deployments supporting operations Enduring Freedom, Freedom's Sentinel, and Resolute Support. In February 2022 he joined the firm Woolpert as an aviation design team leader in Perrysburg, Ohio. He filed a Statement of Organization for his principal campaign committee in June 2025 and later withdrew from the May 5, 2026 Republican primary.
