Edward FitzGerald is a Democratic candidate for Ohio's 7th Congressional District in 2026, running in the Democratic primary on May 5, 2026. He previously served as the first Cuyahoga County Executive from 2011 to 2015 and as mayor of Lakewood, Ohio, beginning in 2007. Earlier in his career, FitzGerald worked as a special agent with the FBI on the Organized Crime Task Force in Chicago and later as an assistant Cuyahoga County prosecutor, and he holds a bachelor's degree from Ohio State University (1990) and a J.D. from Cleveland–Marshall College of Law (1993).
