Beth Davidson (Democrat) ran for the U.S. House in New York's 17th Congressional District in 2026, losing the Democratic primary to Cait Conley on June 23, 2026. She holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Michigan and, at the time of the race, worked as a freelance writer and consultant for nonprofits and political campaigns. Davidson served on the Rockland County Legislature, where she chaired the Environment Committee and a Task Force on Water Resources Management, and earlier served two terms on the Nyack Board of Education. She has also served on the boards of Leadership Rockland, the Soar Mentorship program, and the Children's Shakespeare Theatre.
