Matthew Fonken is a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House in Nevada's 2nd Congressional District in 2026, according to his FEC filing (candidate ID H6NV02297). He is a longtime community organizer and a former Executive Director of the Nevada State Democratic Party, per his campaign page. In a March 2026 KUNR interview he identified health care access and affordability as his top issues, and protecting public lands as a campaign priority in his Ballotpedia Candidate Connection survey.
