Rick Morales was a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House in New Jersey's 12th Congressional District in 2026 (FEC ID H6NJ12383). According to his campaign website, he is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point — where he was the first Hispanic First Captain of the Corps of Cadets — and a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford; he served 11 years in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper and later a military doctor. His campaign biography states he later worked as a faculty member at the University of California and as Chief of Staff at a North Carolina hospital, and co-founded The Ricardo Fund with his wife. He did not appear on the June 2, 2026 Democratic primary ballot.
