Timothy Alexander was born in Newark, New Jersey, and is a civil rights attorney. He previously served as a Detective Captain with the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office in Mays Landing, New Jersey, and as a Major Trials Prosecutor for the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, and works as Of Counsel for the law firm Helmer, Conley & Kasselman, P.A. He earned a bachelor's degree from Drexel University in 2006, a graduate degree from Drexel LeBow College of Business in 2008, and a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law in 2013. He is a Democrat who has run in the Democratic primaries for U.S. House in New Jersey's 2nd Congressional District in 2022, 2024, and 2026.
