Richard N. Ojeda (Democratic Party) is the Democratic nominee for North Carolina's 9th Congressional District in 2026. A retired U.S. Army Major, he served 24 years in the military. From 2016 to 2019, he represented District 7 in the West Virginia State Senate. He previously ran for West Virginia's 3rd Congressional District in 2018 and for the U.S. Senate in West Virginia in 2020.
