Aisha Farooqi (Democrat) is running in the 2026 Democratic primary for Michigan's 11th Congressional District. A graduate of Farmington High School, she earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2006 and a law degree from the University of Detroit in 2013. Her career experience includes working as a prosecutor with the Wayne County prosecutor's office and as a filmmaker. She previously ran unsuccessfully for the Michigan House of Representatives District 57 seat in 2022 and 2024.
