Jonathan Paz is a Waltham, Massachusetts native and a member of the Waltham City Council representing Ward 9, an office he has held since 2020 after defeating a 30-year incumbent in 2019. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and has worked as a union organizer, including with SEIU, and as an educator. A Democrat, he is running in the September 1, 2026 Democratic primary for Massachusetts' 5th Congressional District, challenging incumbent Katherine Clark.
