Rick Edmonds is a Republican member of the Louisiana State Senate representing District 6, a seat he won in 2023. He previously served in the Louisiana House of Representatives for District 66 from 2016 to 2024. Edmonds is a Baptist pastor with more than 40 years of ministry experience and holds a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (1990) and a B.A. from East Texas Baptist College (1979).
