Dylan Blaha is a U.S. Army captain and Illinois National Guard member who is running as a Democrat for Illinois' 13th Congressional District in 2026, challenging incumbent Rep. Nikki Budzinski. He holds a master's degree in biochemistry and previously worked in cancer research before returning to active duty, serving in Afghanistan and Germany from 2019 to 2024. He grew up in the Chicago area and later moved to Urbana-Champaign.
