Laura Fine (born December 13, 1966) is an American politician and member of the Illinois Senate from the 9th district, a position she has held since 2019. A Democrat, she previously served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 2013 to 2019 representing the 17th district, and was Northfield Township Clerk from 2009 to 2012. In 2025 she announced a campaign for Illinois's 9th congressional district, seeking to succeed Representative Jan Schakowsky in the 2026 U.S. House elections. She holds a B.A. in telecommunications from Indiana University and an M.A. in political science from Northeastern Illinois University.
