Melissa Bean is the Democratic nominee for U.S. House in Illinois' 8th Congressional District in 2026, where she previously served from 2005 to 2011. She first won the seat in 2004 by defeating incumbent Phil Crane, and lost her 2010 reelection bid to Joe Walsh. After leaving Congress she led the Executives' Club of Chicago, chaired JPMorgan Chase's Midwest operations, and became CEO of Mesirow Wealth Advisors in 2019.
