Willie Preston is the Illinois State Senator for the 16th District and the Democrat who ran for U.S. House in Illinois' 2nd Congressional District in 2026. Born and raised in Chicago, he worked as a union carpenter, attended Chicago State University and Roosevelt University, and operates a construction firm.
