Adal Regis is a public servant and policy strategist who ran as the Democratic nominee for U.S. House in Illinois' 2nd Congressional District in 2026, finishing with 0.8% of the vote in the March 17 Democratic primary. He previously served as District Representative for Congresswoman Robin Kelly, helping secure federal funding for local governments, small businesses, and nonprofits, and works as Director of Strategy at a Chicago-based environmental justice nonprofit leading clean energy and climate-resilience initiatives. He also serves on Governor JB Pritzker's Task Force on Black Immigrants. Born in New York and raised in Haiti, Regis earned a master's in public policy from the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy and lives on Chicago's South Side.
