Jesse L. Jackson Jr. (born March 11, 1965) is a former U.S. Representative who served Illinois's 2nd congressional district from 1995 to 2012, when he resigned from Congress. A Democrat, he is running for the same 2nd district seat in 2026. He holds a B.S. from North Carolina A&T State University, an M.Div. from Chicago Theological Seminary, and a J.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
