Lindsay James is a member of the Iowa House of Representatives representing District 71, a seat she has held since 2023 (current term ends 2027); she previously represented Iowa House District 99 from 2019 to 2023. Born in Portland, Oregon, she earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Santa Clara University (2003) and a master's in divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary (2007). Her career experience includes serving as a Presbyterian church pastor, adjunct faculty at the University of Dubuque, and director of the Loras College Peace Institute, which she co-founded.
