James "Jim" Kingston is the Republican nominee for Georgia's 1st Congressional District in 2026. A lifelong resident of Southeast Georgia, he built his career in the insurance industry and is the son of former U.S. Representative Jack Kingston, who held the same seat for 22 years. He had not previously run for or held elected office before entering the race, and won the May 19, 2026 Republican primary.
