Eliott Rodriguez is a Cuban-American television journalist running as a Democrat for Florida's 27th Congressional District in the 2026 election. Born in 1956 in the Bronx, New York, to Cuban immigrant parents, he graduated from the University of Miami and began his career as a reporter at The Miami News before moving to local television. He worked as a reporter and anchor at WTVJ, WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, and WPLG-TV in Miami, joining CBS affiliate WFOR-TV in 1999, where he served as a main news anchor for over two decades. He is a recipient of three Emmy Awards and four Edward R. Murrow Awards.
